One rank one pension policy in India - who started the whole problem?

In the last few months, there has been a lot of politics and news coverage over the non-implementation of the One rank one pension policy for Indian soldiers.

A casual google search on the background of the issue made me aware that India did follow this policy until the 1970's and that it was Indira Gandhi who arbitrarily stopped this policy, thereby creating a controversy that still rages to this day.

So, my friends, this is one more in the long list of follies committed by the Congress governments and directly attributable to the Nehru-Gandhi family (the Kashmir issue, minority appeasement etc being some of the others), for which the country continues to suffer decades thereafter.

On a parting note, it is ironic that the congress is now blaming the BJP for not implementing the policy in 1 year, when they themselves did nothing for the 10 years that they were in power before this.
And if you look since the 1970's, it has all been congress rule except for 2 extremely short lived governments led by Morarji Desai and VP Singh and a 5 year term by the BJP under Vajpayee (in 1999).

An imperceptible change brought about by one year of BJP sarkar

One intangible change brought about by one year of BJP Sarkar is anti national elements residing within India, who during congress rule were brazen about where their loyalties lay, are now definitely fearful about displaying their anti-India tendencies.

To take just one example, during last years Independence day, a school in Kerela cancelled their independence day celebration because they were afraid of muslim fundamentalists who were against the celebrations/ hoisting of the Indian flag.
This year however, even the usually regressive and fanatic deoband seminary has issued a fatwa asking muslims to celebrate independence day.

This is a major change in mindset, caused by the positive and strong pro-India actions of the BJP government in the previous year, which have sent a clear signal to all anti national sections that for the BJP, the nations security is paramount and that threats to India or challenges to Indian self respect will not be tolerated.
This marks a big turnaround, where at least traitors within India are now afraid to openly show their anti India tendencies; and it should be seen as a welcome (but small) step towards securing security for the nation and for the majority of the peace loving and law abiding population of India.

Let us support the BJP government in its effort to strengthen India, secure its security and boundaries and march along the path to prosperity and well being.

P.S:
There are still a lot of points which should be causes of major concern, as enumerated below, but they are the topic of a separate blogpost in themselves, and we wont get into those details for now.
1. Why do people need to be told to celebrate independence day? Arent they happy that the country they live in got its independence? Or do their loyalties lie elsewhere?
2. The fatwa is most likely a hogwash, just to bend with the wind for now and then raise again when the time is appropriate (i.e when the congress is back in power). Will the majority be fooled by this tokenism?
3. Newspapers gave the barest possible coverage to last years incident, when it should have been headline news and the traitors punished stringently. This year however, the tokenism was hyped up and made frontline news, thereby demonstrating their ideological double standards and political bias. Can we trust such newspapers?

Yoga classes in Singapore

Over the last 15 odd years, a lot of my friends, well wishers and mentors have suggested that I try Yoga to calm myself, learn to relax and control my anger.
Now I have always been one of those rough and tough guys who exercise everyday and maintain a balanced diet but are undisciplined  in terms of lifestyle and abuse my body constantly, so I would usually scoff at their advise and at times, make fun of them.

However as age catches up with me, and as I realise with each passing day that my body cannot take as much as it could earlier; I have slowly started realising the importance of mental peace by being calm, composed, relaxed and in control of my emotions all the time, and started practising Yoga over the last 2 years.

While I myself practice Pranayam at home, I was checking whether there are free/ at-cost Yoda classes offered by organisations whose aim is to help people rather than making money (which means I ignore all those classes teaching hot yoga etc) - similar to an old uncle in my home city of Mumbai who used to conduct 2 week long classes for a nominal fee of Rs 250 (that's around SGD 6).
To my surprise, I found that there actually are a few organisations who conduct Yoga classes in various parts of Singapore, at no or nominal cost.

While I myself spent a considerable amount of time in googling various classes, checking the websites etc, for the benefit of others (to save time and effort), I have listed below links to websites of a few such organisations:

I hope this is useful to at least a few people around who are looking to learn Yoga to improve their health and quality of life.

If anyone has information on more such classes, please do share.
